It is not an good idea to hit gym everyday because your body needs time to recover, your body needs time to repair the damage muscles which were broke down or damaged during workouts otherwise you can't grow muscles because you are working out again and again with that damaged muscles only which leads to decrease in muscle size and loss in muscle mass. so, take rest for at least two - three days in a week.

Working out everyday is not the best method to build muscles it can even results in loss of muscle mass and decrease in muscle size. The best method to build muscle is GYM - EAT - REST. Your body needs rest to repair the damaged parts because of workouts which is actually the process of building muscles. When you workout on specific part of an body it leads to break down of muscle tissue of that specific part, later on when you eat something the protein and other nutrients digest in your body and flow with blood towards that damaged muscles to repair it and this process can only complete when you are resting, the damaged muscles repair only when you are sleeping or resting.
The beginners should rest for 3 days in a week because there body is not capable to resist fatigue fast.
They need more rest as compare to professionals. A good structured workout plan must have rest days which allow you to better recovery of your body.
